American Government:  2 Semester's

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

1.  To understand the history and the heritage that we have as Americans in our system of the Government.

2.  To learn the basic rights that we have as American citizens.

3.  To learn the basic structure and organization of our federal, state, and local Government.

4.  To understand the basic concepts of Democracy.

5.  To learn and understand the three branches of Government, Executive, Legislative, and Judicial system.

6.  To learn the basic fundamentals of the free enterprise system

7.  To understand and appreciate some of the social and political problems that effect the operation of  Government.

8.  To understand South Dakota's Government structure.

9.  To understand our local Government structure.
